EUTOPIA
CY Tech, as part of CY Cergy Paris Université, excels at offering engagement and scholarship in its subject areas while also playing a vital role in global education and international business.
"CY's international strategy today aims to strengthen our crucial partnerships. Eutopia is one of these partners. Our European alliance was a key innovation of the European Commission's first wave of educational missions beginning in 2019. Eutopia comprises 10 European university members and 6 world partners. We hope to create ambitious and practical solutions for Europe's universities of tomorrow. We also aim to contribute to Europe's training and research spaces while growing our undergraduate mission, notably through Eutopia's Ecotopia program."
EUTOPIA is an ambitious alliance of 10 like-minded universities ready to reinvent themselves: the Babes-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca (Romania), the Free University of Brussels (Belgium), the Ca'Foscari University of Venice (Italy), CY Cergy Paris Université (France), the Technische Universität Dresden (Germany), the University of Gothenburg (Sweden), the University of Ljubljana (Slovenia), the NOVA University Lisbon (Portugal), the University of Pompeu Fabra Spain) and the University of Warwick (United Kingdom). Together, these 10 pioneers join forces to build the European university of the future.
Each university holds several campuses deeply related to its territories. They have built solid ties with their communities, institutional structures, and local companies.
EUTOPIA students, researchers, and staff work together to build a new academic model, reflecting an open and united Europe, respectful of the citizens and the environment.
The mission of EUTOPIA is to build, in the long term, a unique and daring alliance of transformative and engaged institutions.
“[The Ecotopia] courses have not only enriched my knowledge, but above all they have sparked a greater interest in ecology, sustainable development and economics. They have led me to think more deeply about my studies, especially in the field of economics…”
-Killian Larde (France), second year student
“A big and important part of Ecotopia is exchange between universities. I am a visiting student at ESCI Pompeu Fabra University of Barcelona, Spain. Engaging in an exchange program offers a unique experience that is focused not only on academic learning. Through the immersion into a different country’s environment, especially as multicultural as in Barcelona, I became more culturally aware, more flexible and adaptable and worked on my communication skills…This first hand exposure goes beyond textbooks, allowing me and my colleagues to truly grasp the richness and complexity of different cultures.”
-Taisiia Feskova, Ukraine (Pompeu Fabra University, Spain)
